• A quarterly 8-page Information Bulletin. This publication recognises that many members, including those living in metropolitan Sydney or in country New South Wales, have lived predominantly in mainstream society and lack any links with traditional disability service providers. The Information Bulletin fills this gap by providing specific information on services and programs which are available to people with disabilities.
  

• Guided access to Australia's most comprehensive Internet site about the late effects of polio.

• Ability to purchase a wide range of resources which describe the late effects of polio and management techniques, including:

• 240-page book edited by Lauro S Halstead, MD : Managing Post-Polio - A Guide to Living Well with Post-Polio Syndrome (published 1998);

• 1998 Report of the Network's Survey of Members : Polio - A Challenge for Life - The Impact of Late Effects.
  
  
• Network T-shirts and badges featuring a colourful graphic of a single polio virus particle are also available.
  
  
• Access to a comprehensive library of printed material and audio/video tapes on post-polio symptoms and treatment, as well as coping with a disability. A library catalog is under development.
  

• Invitations to quarterly Seminars, with three held in metropolitan Sydney and one in a New South Wales country centre each year. Local and international speakers address a diverse range of post-polio and disability issues.
  

• Eligibility to participate in, or convene, regional Support Groups which provide local assistance.
  

• Through Post-Polio Awareness Week held 1-7 November each year, the opportunity to assist the Network to promote its existence and activities by informing people who have had polio, carers, family members, health professionals, policy makers, service providers and the community in general about the late effects of polio.
  

• Participation in immunisation programs in conjunction with the New South Wales Divisions of General Practice, and participation in medical and community education programs about the late effects of polio.
  

• The opportunity to contribute your skills and talents to assist others who have had polio, or to help with organisational tasks or fund-raising. Volunteers can work on a regular or occasional basis, at home, in the Network's office at the Royal South Sydney Community Health Complex, and at meeting locations.
  

• The right to vote in elections for the Network's Management Committee and to participate in deciding the direction and programs of the Network.
